Jassby Trip Cards may be added to Apple, Google, and Samsung mobile wallets. While this feature offers modern convenience, please ensure your travelers understand that the physical card remains a vital part of their journey.
Why Travelers Must Retain the Physical Card
Even after adding the card to a mobile wallet, the physical card should never be discarded and should be in the user's or Tour Leader’s possession at all times. Here is why:
- Funds Security: Discarding the card poses a risk; if found, the physical card can still be used by others to access available funds. This will result in the traveler losing funds and may result in the partner losing funds if additional funds need to be allocated to the traveler.
- Balance, Transaction, PIN, and Funds Expiration Visibility: The QR code on the back is the only way for travelers to view their current balance, upcoming allotments, past transactions, PIN, and funds expiration.
- Merchant Acceptance: While mobile wallets are common, small businesses and local vendors may still require a physical card for payment.
- Backup for Phone/Mobile Wallet Inaccessibility: If the phone is not available or the battery dies, the physical card ensures the traveler isn't left without payment options.
Best Practices
- Prior to adding the Trip Card to their mobile wallet, travelers should scan the QR code and keep the Balance App tab open on their phone. Refreshing the tab will provide them with the updated balance and transaction history.
- If there is a concern with travelers discarding the physical card, the Tour Leader can retain the physical cards for safe keeping after travelers have added their Trip Card to their mobile wallet and scanned the QR code.
- Travelers who are using their mobile wallets should ensure that their phones are charged at all times.
